Station Log requires a PC equipped with the
hardware and software items described in this section.
Hardware
- Pentium 4-class or higher processor (such as Intel® Celeron-D™ [minimum]; Intel Dual-Core;
Intel Quad-Core; Intel i3, i5, i7, i9; or equivalent AMD® processor).
- 512 MB of memory or more (1 GB or more recommended).
- Minimum Display: 1024x768 dpi resolution with a normal DPI setting of 96.
- 80-gigabyte (GB) or greater hard disk drive.
- TWAIN-compatible image scanner (required only if you want to
scan the QSLs you receive).
- Sound capabilities that are supported by Windows® 11, Windows 10,
Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista®, or XP®.
(Required only if you want to record the stations you receive.)
- Internet connection to use HamQTH.com, Buckmaster™ HamCall.net™; QRZ XML Logbook Data;
the DX Spot Checker™; and FTP. If you want to upload reports via FTP, you
must provide the Web server space.
Software
- Afreet Band Master only if you want to use Band Master with DXtreme Station Log.
- Afreet DX Atlas only if you want to use DX Atlas with DXtreme Station Log.
- Afreet Ham CAP only if you want to use Ham CAP with DXtreme Station Log.
- Microsoft® Windows® 11 3, Windows 10 3,
Windows 8.1 3, Windows 8 3, Windows 7 3, Windows Vista®3, or Windows XP.
(Users outside the US should have the English language pack installed.)
- Microsoft Internet Explorer® V8.0+ Desktop to use the Active Report Viewer.
- Microsoft Edge, Apple® Safari®, Google™ Chrome™, Mozilla® Firefox® or Vivaldi™ to use the Standard Report Viewer.
- Microsoft Windows Live Mail/Windows Mail/Outlook Express 6.0 or greater, Mozilla® Thunderbird®, or Microsoft Outlook 2003 or greater.
Win32 Desktop e-mail applications only. (Required only if you want to use Station Log's e-mail integration features.)
- Microsoft Word 2003 or greater (required only if you want to create QSL labels manually or
automatically from Word templates [Win32 Desktop Word only]). The creation of QSL labels using the Direct Print QSL Labels function
requires no additional software.
- Optional subscription to HamQTH.com, Buckmaster™ HamCall™ CD, HamCall.net™, or QRZ XML Logbook Data to
use features that require the purchase of a subscription call sign lookup product.
- Optional installation and configuration of Afreet Omni-Rig to use the
rig control functions of DXtreme Station Log. Refer to "Rig Control in DXtreme Station Log"
on the Product Summary or Data Sheet page for important information.
- ARRL's TrustedQSL (TQSL) Version V2.4 or higher if you want to upload log entries to the
Logbook of the World Server.
- AI – Generic, AI – DXtreme GPT, and DXtreme-SL15SE-GPT
are designed for use on Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11 only.
- To access and use DXtreme-SL15SE-GPT and other
custom GPTs in ChatGPT, you must have a paid subscription to ChatGPT Plus or
greater. Refer to the OpenAI® ChatGPT® Product page at
https://www.openai.com for more information. There are many benefits to
having a subscription, beyond access to DXtreme-SL15SE-GPT.
