DXtreme Monitor Log 15 requires a PC equipped with the hardware and software items described in this section.

Hardware

  • Pentium 4-class or higher processor (such as Intel® Celeron-D™ [minimum]; Intel Dual-Core, Quad-Core, Six-Core, Octo-Core; Intel i3, i5, i7, i9; or equivalent AMD® processor).

  • 512 MB of memory or more (1 GB or more recommended).

  • Minimum Display: 1024x768 dpi resolution with a normal DPI setting of 96.

  • 80-gigabyte (GB) or greater hard disk drive.

  • TWAIN-compatible image scanner (required only if you want to scan the QSLs you receive).

  • Sound capabilities that are supported by Windows® 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista®, or XP®. Your computer must also have a line-in jack and suitable speakers. (Required only if you want to record the stations you receive.)

  • Internet connection to use DXtreme Monitor Log Web Research GPT and DXtreme Monitor Log Documentation GPT, HamQTH.com, Buckmaster™ HamCall.net™; QRZ XML Logbook Data; downloading schedules for the Schedule Checker™; and FTP. Optional FTP also requires user-provided Web space availability.

Software

  • Afreet Band Master if you want to use Band Master with DXtreme Monitor Log 15.
  • Afreet DX Atlas if you want to use DX Atlas with DXtreme Monitor Log 15.
  • Software licenses for Afreet Ham CAP and Afreet Omni-Rig are required if you want to use Ham CAP (both are free at the time of this writing).
  • Microsoft® Windows® 113, Windows 103, Windows 8.13, Microsoft Windows 83, Microsoft Windows 73, Microsoft Windows Vista®3 or Microsoft Windows XP. (Users outside the US should have the English language pack installed.)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer or similar browser.
  • To use DXtreme Monitor Log 15's MAPI e-mail integration features: Microsoft Windows Live Mail/Windows Mail/Outlook Express 6.0 or greater, or Microsoft Outlook 2003 or greater, or Mozilla® Thunderbird®. (Win32 e-mail applications only.)
  • Microsoft Word 2003 or greater (required only if you want to create reception reports or single QSL/address labels from templates).
  • Optional subscription to HamQTH.com (preferred), QRZ XML Logbook Data (also preferred), or Buckmaster™ HamCall™ CD / HamCall.net™ to use features that require the registration of a call sign subscription lookup product.
  • Optional installation and configuration of Afreet Omni-Rig Version 1.9 or supported SDR applications to use the rig control functions of DXtreme Monitor Log 15. Refer to "Rig Control in DXtreme Monitor Log 15" on the Product Summary or Data Sheet pages for important information.
  • DXtreme Software does not guarantee solar index data availability from NOAA.
